An Upper Bound on the Critical Value Involved in the Blasius Problem

Abstract

Utilizing the Schauder fixed point theorem to study existence on positive solutions of an integral equation, we obtain an upper bound of the critical value involved in the Blasius problem, in particular, . Previous results only presented a lower bound and numerical investigations .
